Sashiko-woven fabric, a cotton cloth woven to resemble sashiko stitching, dyed in Bushu (the historic region that includes Saitama). We turned it straight into tabi (Japanese split-toe socks). This is Waves, woven in white, blue and light blue.
An ocean scene woven in three colors
White, blue, light blue. Threads in three colors interlace to form a fabric that recalls waves rolling in and drawing back. The layers of color become a single scene.
